This blog is an extension of our main site OurFamilyBudget.com. It is a great way for me to share even more money saving tips with you on a regular basis.

Let me tell you a little about myself and my family. My name is Susanne Myers. I’m happily married to my best friend and we have a beautiful daughter who is smart and funny. It was important to me to stay home and spend as much time with her as possible (she’s growing up much to fast) so that we have time to travel, play and spend afternoons in the park.

As a stay at home mom I look at saving money and taking care of the bills (including reducing our debt) as part of my job description. Over the years, I’ve gotten good at stretching a budget and have greatly reduced our overall debt. Then a friend approached me and asked how we got along comfortably on a relatively small income. In talking to her, I realized that many of the tips and ideas I had come up with and come across aren’t something that anyone knows about (which is what I figured… afterall, I knew ).

That’s when I started thinking about setting up this site and sharing my suggestions in a weekly newsletter. I hope you find them as helpful as I did as well as my friend and countless newsletter subscribers since then.
