Everyone is looking for ways to save these days, and I am no exception.  Saving change has been something my family has done for years. I can remember this huge jar my dad had when I was a kid that he’d put his change in every night.  We as children all got piggy banks to put change in and learn the value of saving money.

Why not take those concepts we learned as children and turn it into a way we can truly save money today with loose change.  Save your change ritually day after day, until you have enough to take to your local bank or Coinstar machine to have it counted.  You’ll be surprised how quickly it adds up and what a large amount it can turn into.  You can truly use it to save for just about anything you’re hoping to save for.

Encourage your children to save too, piggy bank saving is a lost concept that we should definitely bring back again especially in these tough economic times.
