How You Can Save $10 a Week

July 10th, 2009 · No Comments

We all know that it is more important now, then ever, to save as much money as we can.  However, that may seem impossible with the rising cost of everything.  Although there are certain expenses that we can not control, there are some areas that we can trim.

Take a few moments and write out all of your expenses for an entire week.  Make sure you include everything, even the cup of coffee you buy on the way to work.  With your list in front of you, look over it carefully and find the things that you could do without.

Some of the most common items that show up on these lists are; coffee, fast food meals, movie rentals, and unhealthy food choices like candy.  The amount of these items may seem small when you consider only one coffee at a time, but over the course of a week they really add up.  Instead of buying a cup of coffee on the way to work, make your own before you leave home.

Fast food is another item on the list.  It may be convenient, but it is also very costly.  Even if you do shop from the $1 menu, if you have a large family to buy for, that $1 item can add up to $20.00 worth of food very quickly.

Trimming the excess from your weekly spending can quickly and painlessly add up to a savings of $10.00 or more per week.
