With the tight economy, everyone is looking for a way to save. There are a couple of monthly expenses that could be costing too much. The first thing to check is your cable or satellite bill. Do you really need 800 channels, or could you get by with a smaller package? Better yet, cut out that bill all together and watch your shows online.
The next thing to look at is your phone bill. Check with your provider and see exactly what you are paying for. Sometimes if you are not specific with your phone company, they may automatically sign you up for a more expensive service. If your budget is strained, get rid of all the extras and only pay for the basic service. Do you really need caller id, and call waiting? Many are also cutting out their land line altogether and using their cell phone.
Lastly, check your cell phone bill. Do you really want to pay extra for unlimited text messaging, or can you cut that off of your bill? Some of these decisions may not be fun to make, but the savings can add up in the long run, and it will not be as painful as you may think.
