In the world of credit cards, there seem to be so many to choose from.  Every company claims to have “something to meet every need”, but do you know what your need is?  Several people have already discovered that credit cards and frugal living do not go hand in hand.  When you are holding that little plastic card, it can be hard at times to resist the temptation to buy it now and pay for it later.  However, credit cards do seem to be necessary in some situations.  So, the big question here is, what type of card should you get.

There is a solution out there for those who only need a card for online purchases and traveling, the pre-paid credit card.  I guess this type of card could better be described as a debit card, but it works the same.  These types of cards help to prevent you from overspending, because you can only spend the amount that you have pre loaded on the card.

In a world of plastic, if you must have a card you should get one that will meet your needs, and not tempt you.
